Okay, so you don’t need a huge film shoot or an expensive camera. But what do you need? Well, we’re glad you asked! Because what you need is A) guidance on WHAT you should shoot. How it Works
1) We chat about what your video needs to accomplish, and what you’re planning on using it for. Then we give you some guidelines on what you should shoot, and how to structure the video shoot so that we’ll be able to cut it together professionally when you’re done. This discussion is invaluable and makes the next part super easy!
2) You shoot the raw footage for your video on your smartphone based on the guidelines we’ve given you. Always remembering to hold your phone sideways when taking the video as YouTube is a19:6 aspect ratio. Keeping in mind that the video we cut together is only as good as the video footage you give us. So, if the raw footage you send us his awful, then the video we’re going to give you will be subpar. Think of it like a chef in a kitchen. The meal is only as good as the ingredients! Just remember to hold the phone steady. Always shoot in good lighting. Always hold the phone side-on. And wherever possible, try to follow the guidelines we give you for shooting the video. As these guidelines are there to better structure the video edits when the footage is being assembled.
3) Once you’ve shot the raw footage, we send you a (free) Internet link so you can send the video files to us. Keeping in mind that we’re cutting you a 1-minute video, so we can’t accept more than 5-minutes of raw footage. As the time required to go through hours of footage just to find one minute’s worth of usable footage would mean we would have to charge a minimum of $5,000 plus GST per video due to the time required to produce edit it.
4) This is where we take over and start to work our magic! We take your footage and edit it together into a slick 1- minute video, deleting any bad takes along the way, so that the end product looks amazing. We then add in a professional voiceover (if required), music (if required) subtitles (if available/required) and export the video as an MP4 file for you to upload to your YouTube channel (16:9).
Plus, we can then resize the finished video at no extra charge for up to three of the following social media platforms: YouTube short (16:9), TikTok (9:16), Instagram Post (1:1) Instagram Story (9:16), LinkedIn (1:1), Facebook Post (1:91:1), Facebook Story (9:16), Facebook Video (1:1), Snapchat (9:16).

Who is Editing My Video?
Well, that’d be none other than SEO North Sydney founder, Brian M Logan!
In an earlier part of his life, Brian worked as a professional film actor for nearly a decade, during which time he acted in 5 feature films, co-starring in 3 (opposite Ray Liotta, Julian McMahon, Kevin Dillon, Elliot Gould, Garry McDonald, Lance Henriksen, Ernie Hudson, Christopher Atkins, among others etc). Brian also wrote, directed, produced and edited a sketch comedy pilot for the Foxtel ‘Funny Bone Awards,’ (getting to the final), as well as several award-winning short films. He has also taught acting and television presenting professionally.
In his side-hustle (hey, we all need ’em!) Brian is also a professional novelist and screenwriter repped out of Hollywood by WME. His screenplay, ‘The Nihilist, the Bag & the Rock’n Roll Launderette’ was a finalist (Top 10 out of 6,048) in the Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting in 2003. The Nicholl Fellowship is the world’s largest screenwriting contest and is run by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (the folks who give out the Oscars). Brian was the first ever finalist to come from outside of America or Canada in the 27-year history of the competition, and the Academy flew Brian to Hollywood for a week for the presentation and award ceremony.
The screenplay for the Nihilist the Bag & the Rock’n Roll Launderette was set up at Warner Brothers Studios in 2006 with Kevin Spacey, John Cusack, Alan Rickman and Vinnie Jones attached.
In 2010, Brian’s book, ‘Monster Town’ was set-up at Sony Studios in Hollywood with Basil Iwank (the producer of all the ‘John Wick’ movies) attached. With the book being developed as a TV series in the vein of ‘True Blood’.
Brian has just finished his new novel ‘Desolation Cove,’ which is due out in March 2025.
